Appearance and properties
Colourless, clear to turbid, viscous liquid. Highly alkaline substance with strong aggressive effect. Sodium hydroxide, aqueous solution (minimum 48 %).
Application
Production of inorganic and organic chemicals. Production of viscose staple fibre and silk. Used in paper, textile, fat-making and power industry.
